1994 – Telxon’s Aironet subsidiary launches the first 802.11 wireless LAN.

2000 – To bolster its dominance in wireless networking technology, Cisco Systems acquires Aironet’s wireless products group.

2004 – A team of Cisco marketing and engineering veterans takes the helm of NeTeam Systems.
